About This Course
This course is designed for the non-Arab speaking student, Students learn Arabic through listening and conversation along with reading and writing. The series stresses communication and also offers glimpses into the Arabic culture, both Islamic and national. Divided into 3 grades, it contains textbooks and workbooks combined in one book. This course is ideal for students who wish to be able to speak Arabic fluently. Students will learn to converse with others in dialogues and express themselves fluently in Arabic.

- Ustaadh Abbas afzal (15+ years experience of teaching Arabic)
- Abbas afzal completed the memorisation of the Qur’an at the age of 15 by his teacher Molana bashir salloo saheb at Madina tul uloom Kidderminster He did 5 years of the ‘Alimiyyah programme at Madina tul uloom (kidderminster) and was privileged to be taught by many esteem and supportive teachers and scholars, such as Molana Ahmed saheb, Molana Yusuf lorgat saheb, Molana Azad saheb and many more (May Allah protect them). He then went onto complete his studies and graduate from the Islamic sciences at Darul Ulum (bury) in 2005 where he was honored to study under very prominent scholars and mentors, like Hadhrat Molana Yusuf motara saheb, Hadhrat Molana Abdur Raheem saheb, Hadhrat Molana bilal saheb, Mufti shabbir saheb, Sufi Taher saheb and many more. He then taught various scienecs of the Alimiyyah programme at Madina tul uloom (kidderminster) for over a decade. He has the experience of teaching in various settings and age groups ranging from children in maktabs, adults in part time and full time Alimiyyah programme, Hmp prisons services for many years.
Objectives:
- Understand a range of familiar spoken phrases, simple questions and short dialogues
- Make basic introductions and use basic greetings and courtesy phrases
- Answer simple questions and give basic information; ask and answer simple questions about place of work or study, job, family or interests.
Suitability:
- This course is for students who have basic ability to read Arabic
- Beneficial for students of knowledge
- Open to brothers and sisters
Assessment:
- There are no exams, however lessons are packed with exercises which challenge the learners ability and understanding

- Ability to read basic Arabic

- Access to a microphone to interact during lessons

Balaagah Course
An excellent course run by an amazing teacher. Mawlana Abbas is a respected scholar who specialises in Arabic Rhetoric (Balagha), he has written his own book in Balagha in Arabic as well as English. It is truly a privilege to be able to study closely with someone who has so much expertise in this subject with the sole intention to get closer to the Quran and attain the pleasure of Allah the almighty. Throughout these classes I have seen much structure in the lessons, and work in bringing relevant examples from the Quran to bring the theory to life. I would recommend Mawlana Abbas to anyone seeking to further their studies in Balagha or even Arabic in general.
I do hope that the structures surrounding the classes such as the website and resources continue to improve to make accessing and studying the content easier in the future rather than making things harder, to give right to this Mubarak content and efforts of our beloved teacher may Allah preserve him.
Arabic Conversation
I have only had 6 lessons and have learnt a lot within these lessons. From not being able to speak a word of conversational Arabic to near enough being able to have a full conversation with someone. I have not just learned how to speak Arabic but also learnt a bit of Arabic grammar. Learning conversational Arabic has not just helped me speak Arabic but has also helped me improve my Quran and Hadeeth translation. The Zoom lessons are very easily accessible, the website is very easy to use and the lessons are very affordable.
