About This Course

NB: You will not be learning grammatical concepts surrounding Tarkeeb at random and in isolation, rather every aspect of the study, Insha’ Allah will be a step by step approach

Course Tutor:
  • Ustaadh Abbas afzal (15+ years experience of teaching Arabic)
  • Abbas afzal completed the memorisation of the Qur’an at the age of 15 by his teacher Molana bashir salloo saheb at Madina tul uloom Kidderminster He did 5 years of the ‘Alimiyyah programme at Madina tul uloom (kidderminster) and was privileged to be taught by many esteem and supportive teachers and scholars, such as Molana Ahmed saheb, Molana Yusuf lorgat saheb, Molana Azad saheb and many more (May Allah protect them). He then went onto complete his studies and graduate from the Islamic sciences at Darul Ulum (bury) in 2005 where he was honored to study under very prominent scholars and mentors, like Hadhrat Molana Yusuf motara saheb, Hadhrat Molana Abdur Raheem saheb, Hadhrat Molana bilal saheb, Mufti shabbir saheb, Sufi Taher saheb and many more. He then taught various scienecs of the Alimiyyah programme at Madina tul uloom (kidderminster) for over a decade. He has the experience of teaching in various settings and age groups ranging from children in maktabs, adults in part time and full time Alimiyyah programme, Hmp prisons services for many years.
 
Objectives:
  • Understand the concept and mechanism of Tarkeeb

  • ability to determine the places of the key components of sentences structures, namely مسند and مسند إليه
  • eliminate misunderstandings such as مبتدا is always definite and is خبر is indefinite etc.
  • Instil confidence in reading Arabic text and develop an understanding of where sentences start and end.
  • ability to comprehend extensive sentences when advancing into the course.

  • This course is for students who have studied syntax and morphology and want to understand what is tarkeeb and how it is best applied.

Assessment:
  • There are no exams. However, lessons are PowerPointed and include summaries. Annotated examples are provided to further support one’s learning.

5 objects and their various forms (مفاعيل خمسة)
the particle إن and its correlated words (إن وأخواتها)
the incomplete verb كان and its correlated words (كان وأخواتها)
